We have a open plan, and it does help move heat towards the rear of the rooms.

A quick warning, while people have recommended the stove be hot, you can't have it off the scale hot as it will burn the motor out on the fan.

Hi mate I'm told this too burn out motor thanks Jon

Got a cheapy one off Amazon, £45 odd, and it definitely makes a difference. Would be interested to compare to a genuine ecofan, but not sure how much better it could be for the extra cost...

Hi SANDS my DAD has the Eco 812 largest they do on a 15)16kw stove it push heat up stairs on there 5)6 bedroom house and on our barn conversion house he keeps the whole house for pushes heat over 30)40foot from the stove it get bit of kit cost £125 but that was on deal but you then use less wood thanks Jon

Hi Jon

My fan does the same (or similar), at less than half the price! I guess the proper ecofan might move more air - I'd like to compare the two... Mind you, my woodburner is lower output than 15KW too.
