The world before the Internet.

So here I am, watching telly, talking to the wife in the kitchen, flicking around various forums on my iPad. Talking, sharing videos and arguing with people across the world about work, ferrets v kittens, or if Napoleon Dynamite is funny (it isn't IMO)

I try to remember life before all of this connectivity, it seems fuzzy and "low definition"

I was telling the lad in the van today about when I started in this game 20 years ago, piece of paper with an address with job spec, London A to Z on my knee.

I used to think that my life was so different from my fathers (I'm 52) and yet if you think about it there was faster cars and television, apart from that our generations lives were similar.

Compare that to the life of a teenager today with people of my generation, we seemed to live in Victorian times and yet it was only 25 years ago.

No real point I suppose, just musing, we live in interesting and fast moving times.

Im a real latecomer to the Internet and mobile phones .Got my 1st computer 3 yrs ago and had a mobile since 2010 . Near 50 yrs old and i still do everything on a daybook with a pen. To be honest I'm keeping it all very low key and could easily revert. Would rather keep the TV though !

For me its how quickly we've become dependant on modern day gadgets.I lost my fone a while back and it was pathetic how much i missed it.We seem to spend more and more if our time browsing on fones/ipads etc than actually interfacing with those around us.

I embaressed to say ive pulled my fone out and checked it whilst in tree when the boys are clearing the drop zone.
