Logs wanted at BB9 Lancashire

I usually manage to source my own fire wood but health issues just lately are preventing me.So I would like to buy a few ton of logs,either split or not.I need them to be dry enough to burn now.

A neigbour has come up with a phone number of a guy who sells logs,so will try that later today for a price.I would like the logs for early next week so there is still time here.

Hi All.

We run a wood powered house and use around 20 tons of logs per annum (in an average year) Over the years we have bought cord and sawed and logged it ourselves, hired a processor, and also paid for it already logged. Now the question is, as we are getting older and slower and our free time to saw, chop and stack is becoming limited we are looking at getting these palleted crates of logs. These seem to be too expensive for us, can anyone come up with an economic solution for us ageing Kent dwelling wood lovers. We run a Rayburn and woodstoves to heat, cook and look at!! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Des your running the setup i used to have,we had a Rayburn 355 plus a stove in the other room:thumbup: i loved the Rayburn..wife hated it:lol: i would be investing in a log splitter certainly if you are still chopping by hand?? Ready processed will always cost more..P
