You can get a direct replacement non cat muffler for the EA5000 the part number is the same for Dolmar/ makita 181.174.102

 

The only problem with this muffler is the outlet is on the top and the back of the outlet isn't closed down 100% so some soot will come backwards it's an easy fix with a smaller punch and hammer

 

Or I can do an exchange 5105 muffler already gutted out and you send me the restricted muffler back in the post

The saw is brand new, so a little worried in sending you the standard in case it needs to go back on to preserve the warranty. How much are the standard ones and in your opinion does it make a big difference?

 

Is there a standard zorst for the 7900/price?

Thanks for detailed reply. As much I'd like new bits for the PS410 i can't cope with the thought of doubling what i spent on the thing in the first place

I'll fix up the filter and look out for a secondhand cover i think.

That's no problem there are a few of these models around and sometimes you can find the parts

anyone looking for a old dolmar there one on shpock its a 133 for £60 pounds at corby looks alright condition and it says it runs think there about the same spec as a modern 461 in power wise
