springs do make for a smoother saw... and vibration levels are important these days...

 

just cant be wrenching on pinched saws like you can with rubber mounts, and bigger saws (specifically when running long bars) either need stiffer springs or a combination of springs and rubbers, or it all feels a bit floppy.
