Just seen the weather in Lancashire and Cumbria looks a nightmare

Probably about the only long term solution. But we've had so much rain over last few weeks the grounds waterlogged with standing water which can't hold any more

 

Those big old oaks must draw up a phenomenal amount of water.... and if the Lake District hills were covered in big oaks, like it should be, instead of sheep.

 

Apart from the sun ever expanding we humans tend to bring these problems upon ourselves.
