I messed my arm up a few years back, and was surprised how awkward it was to even lift a trimmer to shoulder height repeatedly, and this was something I'd never considered.

 

i did the same last year andy and i had great problems with my hs45 for long periods of time. However for infrequent use by just the one person the 45 is a bob on machine.

I have HS81r 30", a bit heavy but it can cut some stuff, a good machine very reliable and vibs are good.

iv one of these.. fuji robin hedge cutters...

light as hell with very little vibs.. i can swing this about all day.

also leaves an excellent finish

Also get yourself a lever squirt oil can and fill it up with Stilh chain lube and squirt on the cutters say every 30 mins of use as the oil breaks down the black resin deposits on the cutter blades. Produces a better cut.
