mmmmmm, maybe worth 42% of a rise, depends how "special!"

 

These "so called" special advisors are, I suspect, zero hours, self employed consultant style posts (all very tax efficient no doubt.)

 

Why are these positions not filled by the civil service? That's one of the things they are meant to be there for isn't it? Continuity, impartiality, integrity etc....

Let's not forget that this lady advises Mr Osbourne on how he should have his haircut, what to wear and what to eat.
