Sorry guys looks like its eating a lot of metal there ? . Seems like a sure way to shorten the life span of your chain . May be it can be adjusted . I,ll stick with the files . Looks good though:001_smile:

Discs can be bought separately and yes you're correct, the blue discs don't overheat due to a more open grit pattern. They won't last as long as the pink discs however they will take a heavy cut and you'll still be able to hand file the chain at a later date. Guess that you'll get about 150+ chain sharpens out of the blue disc, but it depends how damaged the chain is. The blue is without question the best stone on the market and our harvester customers prefer it. (Blue 22mm fit the Oregon Grinders).

The video deliberately shows a heavy cut to demonstrate the ability of the machine, but you can set the Grindomatic to whatever depth of cut you want, from 0 - about 4mm. :001_smile:
