Hello, Ive seen a few posts on here and various sites of people using the Husqvarna autotune programme. Just wondering how you get hold of it as searching on the web doesn't seem to bring back many results.

from what I understand you are able to update your saw, I have a 560 and wondered if it would benefit from an update ect. Obviously dealers have this tool but as ive seen a few people with it I thought id look into it as it would be handy to do it yourself. How easy was it to get working and how do you get the latest updates?

thanks

edit, helps if I spell programme right in the title.....

You need the interface box, the cables as well as the software. You can purchase the box etc but it is around £350 so not a cheap option unless you are a business!

oh right ok yeah that is a little pricey. How does the software side of things work is that on the box or is it done through the internet? Just wondering how I could keep it up to date or how you would know there is an update if they do update them that is?

Why be so hungb up on the newer Huskys? I run 61's all day for months on end - and they handle everything I can throw at them.....

yeah the older saws really are good but I just like the design and performance of the 560, 550 ect.

I wonder how others have managed, hmmm

I should imagine they have paid for the equipment and software to do the job or they know a friendly dealer. It needs to connect to the Husqvarna network to download updates I would think so any unauthorised copies would soon be detected.

Bring back the good old days where you could buy a chipped ntl box for £30!
