As I understand it, the 385 cylinder is better ported than the 390 one from the factory, so the 390 is in more need of porting. The 385 can gain a lot just from opening it on both ends (carb and muffler).

You only need the 2 dogs if you swap your roller over,but it may be cheaper to buy the kit than the 2 dogs separately.

 

I got mine from Bailey's and the tax + postage was more than the kit.:001_rolleyes:

So the g is the same as the pic but heated? The 390xp doesn't have a heated option so it'll just be the standard one I need?
