PTO version is easy and being pto it has the tractor to move it about , the wheels on the Balfor are fairly robust and substantial but then it all depends if you had your Weetabix for breakfast.

The wheels are handy to be able to move it in to a corner of the shed out the way where the tractor can't get to. But that's on concrete, won't be suited to moving round on rough ground. It's pretty heavy too.

Wouldnt fancy using that after a night on the raz!

Ere you go, the spinning table of death.

Got this info from Riko about Uniforest.

· Fully welded construction, not folded metal and bolted together

· x2 Standard V belts for drive and these are available almost anywhere as spares

· 700mm tungsten tipped blade which has a 30cm cut (not 25cm like most others). These can also be sharpened/re-tipped

· Its required to be run at 350rpm on the PTO, a lot of the others on the market require 540rpm burning more fuel for a smaller cut.

· Wheels and handles are standard for easier moving about when off the tractor

· Rollers in the trough and on the extension bar to allow the log to move across easier.

· You can retrofit a 4 or 5 meter hydraulic conveyor to the SC models

Hi Simon,

Yes, remarkably similar, but in the grey and yellow and the Uniforest name and what more could you ask for. There are some special offers on the Riko sponsored forum page but it might be worth checking your PM's in a mo for a little Christmas sweetener.:001_smile:

Regards,

Spinner.
