They won't take mine back, I've already cut the nipple holes out of it.

Like DAF wheel nuts I heard . Mind I don't know whether mark was telling the truth or just winding me up

In my opinion,an arborist is someone who has a university/college degree in arboriculture.

Tree surgeons are the guys and gals who do the practical, dirty work of actual tree work day to day.Although there will be some who crossover and meet both criteria.

Id class myself as tree worker-pretty simple really...

Years and years ago, at a university campus crew, I recall a man who was in charge of a local college horticulture program, coming over in the summer to help us to "get his hands dirty".

He has a Masters Degree in horticulture.

We taught him how to use a shovel to dig and move a small shrub about 2 feet tall.

If somebody is really an arborist, it simply means they know what the heck they are doing whether they learned in college or got good training elsewhere.

I almost equate the term Tree Surgeon with Arborist.

Years ago I called a qualified bloke out of the paper to come round to look at taking down a 20-25ft Eucalyptus.

He turned up and told me it was a 60ft Oak. I don't recall calling him an Arborist or a Tree Surgeon....

The very title of this thread merely reminds me of a clip from comedy show Curb your Enthusiasm (be surprised if anyone knows it).....
