Certainly Ganoderma

but difficult to ascertain which one between applanatum/australe without looking at spore under a microscope.

It 'looks' to have the morphological characteristics of applanatum to my eye.

Ganoderma? extensive decay at the base of the tree which has caused it to fail .

Saw something very similar in a woodland in Burnley just recently whilst delivering a Tree Inspection course, riddled with Kretzschmaria / Ustulina too...maybe worth a closer look.

Cheers..

Paul
