full chiesel chain????

so am I better of just sticking to a bog standard chain, a lot of the cuts will be going with the grain not across.

 

Chisel and semi-chisel both are "standard", it's just a matter of choice (and some times local availability).

 

Ime, chisel works much better than semi-chisel for cutting wood from the side, to split it ("noodling").

 

Much of my wood is knotted and/or twisted, so I do quite a bit of it.
