Super tack is good. Never had any gumming or heat issues.

I do use makro rapeseeds oil in my 13 and 15 inch bar machines with no issues. It comes in a metal container, not had any rodents chew it.

Half the price. I use sugihara bars and my 346xp is ported.

I've been using Clarks Supertack for a while with no major problems, and haven't noticed any increased wear.

 

It does dry out though unlike mineral oil, so if you have a saw that doesn't get used for a few weeks you'll probably find the chain is glued to the bar. It frees off very easily though (take bar and chain off, give the chain a wiggle, refit, run the saw for a few seconds, re-tighten chain) so isn't a big deal. For saws that are used daily or even weekly this won't be necessary anyway.

Iv found a 25% chain oil and 75% rape seed oil mix seems to work V well. Looked into getting anti fling additives to mix my own with no success at all ..closest i could find was 205 ltr drums that were a fortune ! and the company would only sell to the trade.

Stick some EP90 in with it, it will not fling far with that but it will probably stink:thumbup:

Gear oil ..Yes... costs a bit if memory serves and you can't fry yer chips in it
