from the few reviews I have read the 576 appears to be better than the old 72 however husky are very plasticky nowadays and their saws haven't been in the same leagues as previous saws eg the 357 was no were near as good as the old 254. so It will be interesting to see if they have improved significantly. out of interest while looking at a review a yank was comparing it to the dolmar ps7900 branded as makita dcs7900 over here these saws are the pro choice in germany and appear to be very powerful reliable and 79cc just under 5 horse power for a saw that costs under £500. i am seriously considreing one of these

picked up a 576xp in the dealers the other week, he was treating himself which says a lot in my books if the dealer is using that saw himself.

the handles are different between the 372 and 576, i prefer the 372 the 576 was more like the newer stihls if that makes any sense.

I would like to get some time on the 576 especially the autotune version which i think would help a lot with saw maintainance as it eliminates the requirement for carb tuning depending on a range of factors, down side i can see is i like to slightly richen my saws up for milling etc, i would advise trying both if you can see which you get on best with

Given the choice i would go the 576 as it has a lot better fuel economy .....the price of fuel these days! the 372 is quite a raw beast compared to modern saws these days but emissions and fuel economy i think i important unless your racing the saw!

fair points i think i will prob get the newer saw 575xp as why not then i can tell everyone what this is like and how i have got on with it plus the guy on the husqvarna stand did say about the fuel side of things!

I have a 575. The fuel economy is great but the sawis IMO unn balanced compared to a 372 or 441.

In adition to the 575 I run a 441 and it is this that I use out of preferance.

Yep, I have a Makita DCS 7901 (01 denotes decompressor) and for £445 it rocks! Just wish it was orange / dolmar!
