Best chainsaw boots?

Loads of threads on here about this... I'm wearing Meindl airstreams. They're good boots. I'd like to try the Arbortec Scafell. They're expensive though and heard they are quite rigid, but I very much like the look of them.

 

 

They're no more expensive that Airstreams are they?

 

For 180 I expect 18 months minimum out of a pair of boots. My Airstreams are falling apart after just over 2 years. Apparently recent ones don't last as long.

 

The Scafel lite boots seem well built and sturdy, and the vibram sole seems to be made of harder stuff than the Airstreams too. They are a bit less flexible at first but considering I sprained my ankle pretty badly in my Airstreams perhaps that's no bad thing.

Sorry, I meant the scafell XER ones, think they're around the £220 mark. Really don't like the look of the new ones, but I'm a bit of a tart like that :001_smile:
