I sympathise with you Dom, i hear more swearing regarding these caps than any other piece of kit.

Having a touch of rheumatism doesnt help,so i often leave the filling up to others.

Got it on now but it do your head in when your busy and want to get on and you then have to spend 20 mins every time you want to but the cap on.

I have a dodgy oil cap on my long handled Ht75 pole saw. A nightmare! Can take a while to get right.

New caps usually sort the problem out! The fuel seems to cause some degradation to the fuel cap, I'm not sure why perhaps Mr Stihl has the answer?

or it could be impact damage saws been pulled thru thr trees catching the the tank distorting it & the cap ,
