A couple of years back I bumped into a strawberry grower and got chatting. These folk, small growers in Dorset had supplied one of the big supermarkets. They'd got good orders for one of the big summer weekends and delivered the lot to spec. The weather turned, the soft fruits didn't sell and the supermarket came up with an excuse to reject the lot. The bloke never got paid a cent and had to collect and dump the lot.

How can they do that to folk?

There is no depths these scumbags will sink to, just beggars belief.

 

Dunno how they sleep at night but suspect they do anything to please the shareholders these days.

Not entirely news to me. But still amazed by the sheer waste of final product, fuel, growers'/manufacturers' time and selfishness of the national stores.
