Arbaid 1st course?

I'm trying to organise a course by this company.

However, I need four more people as the course only runs with six.

The cost is £150 each and is one day.

I'm in Horley, Surrey but happy to travel to someone else's site if that suits.

If you're interested I'll email all the info that I got from Arbaid.

It seems like an excellent course as its aimed specifically at what we do and I know is endorsed by other Arbtalkers.

Please PM me or email or call 07834 414271.

Thanks

Al.

Are arbaid courses certified and approved by a govern body, like the red cross etc?

Workplace FA training providers previously had to register with HSE (Health and Safety Executive) as the regulatory body but that requirement / restriction was removed in 2013.

Hence no need to register / certify FA courses unless a provider sees perhaps commercial benefits in so doing, e.g. Lantra perhaps.

The responsibility lies with the employer to ensure the training he/her/their staff receive is current, relevant and useful. Hence listening what others say on ARBTALK is a very useful indicator.

This is a really useful guide http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/approved-training.htm

Cheers..

Cheers Paul.

I done mine with the red cross but the instructor was a paramedic and military guy, i just assumed you would need some form of experience or medical training to be able to teach First aid. Unless Greg has that but i thought he was an ex climber, more than happy to be proved wrong, saying that its a mute point if you don't need it, so this is a pointless post

Paul was that the first post you have replied where you never promoted the AAAC ? your slipping mate

I recently did mine with 'experienced' trainers, 3 in total, one a para-medic and para-medic trainer, another a tree surgeon / ex-marine, and the other an ex-marine and close quarter security specialists...all a bit scary really, but they delivered an excellent day.

Anyway, onto more important things like getting your business 'ARB Approved.." "Nice one!"

Cheers..

Paul

PS You joining me at Edinburgh Botanics on 2nd Dec to "find out more" :001_rolleyes:

  • 2 weeks later...

So I am still looking for two people to fill a course on January the 18th.

This course will be held in Horley, Surrey.

If you are interested but have more than two people, that's not a problem. Another day can be booked with Arbaid because the more days that get booked the better it is for Arbaid to minimise his travelling.

Please call me on 07834 414271 or email me [email protected]
