Bandsaw throwing bands - forwards!

Have you tried putting a straight edge on the edge of the wheels when the band is tensioned, it would show if your frame is flexing or twisting under load.

 

I can see the logic in this. Especially if someone in the past tried to add a bit of extra tension to the band and bent the frame. It may just be a case of bending back until things are in line when tensioned. Then realeasing and adding some extra webs and strengthening to the frame so it does not happen again. Bit of a long shot but it sounds like you have tried all the obvious.

can't see how it can work without rubber tires . must be allsorts of wear metal to meal I I guess the blade teeth plus 1 -2 mm behind gullet should protrude in front of the band wheel once you start cutting this will force the blade slightly back if you do not have rubber bands then the down set teeth will be wearing on the alloy band wheel ,so if this is wearing out then as some one said the bad wheel will want to go to the highest point which is further back ,but can't because those bearing you showed are backing bearings to stop the blade going back ,not guide bearings. blades coming off can cause a lot of damage
