  4. can't see how it can work without rubber tires . must be allsorts of wear metal to meal I I guess the blade teeth plus 1 -2 mm behind gullet should protrude in front of the band wheel once you start cutting this will force the blade slightly back if you do not have rubber bands then the down set teeth will be wearing on the alloy band wheel ,so if this is wearing out then as some one said the bad wheel will want to go to the highest point which is further back ,but can't because those bearing you showed are backing bearings to stop the blade going back ,not guide bearings. blades coming off can cause a lot of damage

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
