Need a 16-18" round for a cake stand - BRISTOL

Evening

 

I'm getting married in 5 weeks, and we've just about sorted everything except a cake stand.

 

I'd really like a nice round 16-18" diameter couple of inches thick. Could be bigger I suppose, bottom tier of cake will be 12"

 

Doesn't need to be fancy sanded or anything as the cake will be sat on a plastic board. I want something that will look nice

 

Anyone got anything?

Sorry, no help to you but I made something similar for a friend a while back. Looked great on the day. Split after a few weeks. Definitely run a sander over it.

I think I've got some Apple that size kicking around. If you can collect it (Its near Keynsham) I'll cut it to whatever thickness you want. Don't want anything for it.

Anyone else? A bit of unprocessed firewood at 16-18" round will do. I'll happily slice it and sand it myself

I've got some cherry in Bristol about that size. It will need slicing and it's been outside for 6 months so may split a bit once cut.
