I like mistletoe and there wasn't any (or very little) around here is why I grew it and still do.

No doubt it can become a burden on the tree but not so far in my orchards and if it does it's easy to remove or reduce at pruning time. Probably worth more than the fruit anyway.

I'm in North Yorkshire where mistletoe is not common at all- in fact almost unknown, although there is some in West Yorks.  I got a branch from a mate near Pershore ( from an apple) and stuck about 3
