I'm after a new saw just for cutting logs....I've got 2 old stihls I'm going to sell had good intentions of fixing these up and using them but have no time

I hear good things about both dolmar and echo so I fancy one of these 😁 Not after a big cc saw something with a 14" bar and enjoys aspen

Any advice is appreciated :thumbup1:

Now that makes a change from the still or husky threads, but I think it will be a model specific choice from those who know both, I will go echo as it's easier to type mate, but will be interested in good replies along with you.

It'll be interesting to see what Saw Troll recommends

Not really, my guess is a fairly predictable Husqvarna 550

Everything else is heavier, dosnt handle as well, or dosnt have the ST seal of aproval even if its nearly half the price like the Dolmar 420.

Close to the truth, if this is about 50cc saws. :001_smile:

It may well be about something smaller though, and his ambition may be a bit lower....

If the 420 is relevant depends on what the options are.
