Saw sick

Hi all need a bit of advice was out today and my husky with new chain while cutting the chain went solid no movement the chain was properly adjusted I had to take the break cover off and knock the bar to free it up the saw is oiling well and as I said new chain and properly adjusted ?? Any ideas

Check the sprocket in your bar

Check that you have fitted the correct new chain.

had the same happen yesterday !! nose sprocket jammed,freed it up all ok

Sometimes the nose sprocket can jam up if you are cutting with it buried in a hard wood like oak.

 

As others have said, check the chain and bar match.
