Firewood in Lincolnshire

I'm nowhere near Lincs Rog, but I regularly give timber away.

It suits me sometimes on certain jobs where haulage outweighs value.

Be warned though, it's only gnarly less desirable stuff that's usually a pita to process.

The 'ton/tonne - m3' issue has no simple answer.

Green unseasoned timber contains more water and a m3 of this is obviously heavier (you wouldn't want to burn it!).

There is also a vast discrepancy between weights of different species, even at the same moisture content.

£140 for 2.5m3 of seasoned hardwood? Good value if it is what it says, and will save you a lot of time and sweat.
