Anything under 40cc would make a good detailing saw, stihl - 171, 181, 201

Homeowner husky, echo 280, 360

Most carve with a 12" dime tip bar, 1/4 carving chain, pretty much all these saws and more can be switched over to a carving set-up.

Having said all that, I have carved with my 066 😆

yep anything under 40cc that you can get a 1/4 sprocket for (i happen to have x2 ms170 with 1/4 sprockets for sale!)

get a light saw either way, doesn't need loads of grunt as you will prob block out with your 038

Stihl MS150 backhandle. No need to change bars, sprockets etc. You can do plenty of stuff with the standard bar and chain and is very light. If you find you like carving and need super detail you can then upgrade to carving bars, either way you will have a belter of a wee saw.

saw is on the arbtrader link, your msgs are in top right somewhere.

£90 for the saw, bit more if you want the new 1/4 sprocket with it. can maybe find you a carving bar also
