Sorry mate, That should have read - There is somebody in cearnarfon supplying them to several of the bigger coal merchants and garages at that price - one of the reasons I've not bothered...

But I'm looking at a splitta from fuelwood, so should be able to easily compete.

If you have any info PM me, as I'd like to know. I do know that Looms Bros bought 5000 bags of them in one go...

1100 seems a bit steep how many ton you talkin,16 ton in cornwall about 600 quid,i think your idea needs more thought,or stick to plumbing,more profit than firewood.

 

:confused1: An arctic load is 25/27 tonne, so £600 for 16tonne is around the same.

I buy 17 tonnes of beech which I assume when wet is about a tonne a solid metre. The space on the truck is 34cu metres giving roughly 50% for air space. When its dried out its still the same size. 1 cubicmetre turns into about 1.6 cubic metres of logs I hope
