Right,I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment on which saw to purchase ,the 365 I've been offered will cost me £450 brand new(20inch bar),and the 6100 for £310 (also 20inch bar)which is second hand, albeit in very good condition from shavey (Andrew) off here.

My intention is that which ever one I choose will be my only saw and will be used mainly for home logging.

Opinions please!

Thanks

Get the 6100.

I've had no problems ever with Makita / Dolmar.

Husqvarna have their own issues, although I don't dislike them, I have my own reasons for not having bought one yet, which are too weird for this forum.

The £140 will buy you a lot of fuel, chains, oil and beer.

Where is the 365 selling for £450?

Of course not, there are no UK dealers that I can see! Own a 365 though and is a good saw. Not knocking the dollar in the slightest but for me new over used and larger engine wins it

Surely the 365 is £450 + VAT = £540

Are you VAT registered ?

That's what I was thinking..£450 sounded about £100 cheaper than I was seeing it.

If he's VAT registered happy days, if not the voids grown even more.

Hi

I have the 70cc 365 & love it, its going to be a tough choice because I think for just one saw the 60cc Dolmar may be a bit lighter, so if that will cut your wood & you're going to use it a lot - the Husky can get heavy although I can't say I notice it.

I think either will serve you well
