thinking i'm going to go for the husqie, have an 880 at the place i work do a lot of milling with it and you have to clean the air filter half way through a cut because it gets blocked up with saw dust it seems to have lost a lot of its power since new and we've only had it 6 month carb prob blocked. hopefully the 3120's a bit better

Most use the 880 as it has a higher displacement, and therefore more torque. But the 3120xp has an auxiliary manual oiler, which is useful when milling large boards.

An 084 combines the displacement of the 880 with an auxiliary oiler.

Were you using the HD filter system on the stihl. Makes a big difference. Must have milled at least 100 big trees in our time with an 880 and never had the carb blocked. I also brush carefully around the petrol tank cap to remove find sawdust that could potentially fall into the tank when refuelling. Cleanliness is next to godliness or so the say somewhere!
