Just got back from Shoreham Air Show.

Couldn't believe my eyes - felt so helpless as the hunter failed to complete the manouver.

Thoughts and prayers go to the families of all who lost their lives today.

The video (not the edited version) showing the plane crash into the cars is absolutely awful. What a tragic accident.

What can one even do in situations like this? The pilot obviously knew what was unfolding and the cars below... damn...

If that is true what a statement with regards to the air frame worthiness. Terrible tragedy none the less. Air shows are really fantastic to watch and are also usually very deadly when things go wrong.

That picture is horrific. In the bottom right corner you can see a bunch of people turning and running. On the news tonight they said the police are still searching the site for any other victims - unspeakably horrible way to go.

It appears that the canopy of the aircraft was opened and the pilot may have ejected just to the right of the plane crashing. Stay brave in these trying times men and women of the UK

Folks around the world have you in their prayers.

Was meant to go today but had work so missed it (and went Eastbourne last weekend) but just can't believe it.

My sister was at Ferring beach and a man turned up with a smashed rear windscreen and my dad started up conversation with him and it turns out some debris from the crash had smashed it and he had only just got away. Lucky chap.

Really is a very sad story and I expect there will be a massive change in safety protocols for air shows from now on. All displays over only fields and no public areas etc.

Was at Biggin hill a fair few years ago and saw a single seater crash on the Sunday and the day before a twin seater crashed too. Forget what a dangerous sport it is. Was a surreal experience seeing that crash back then and the chap died let alone at least 7 casualties with this one. Really really horrible. I expect the poor pilot is going to at the very least have severe burns if he survives, can't believe anyone could survive that.
