I'm delighted to read this review; there's a reason I like my Echo's.

I had an Echo 350. Great saw except for the chain brake lever but now that has been improved there will be nothing to fault.

IMO this will be a better saw than the two 'big name' offerings because the quality of materials used is better.

Having bought the Echo telescopic pruner on the recommendation of some on here - my findings are far more disappointing than I would have hoped. As ever its all about opinions so its important to know the background of those who put them forward.

Niall is a lead climber for Special Branch, so in answer to your question, yes it is independant to the best of my knowledge

That about sums up my experience with the saw, I have bought a second on the strength of the one I have been using, both run Aspen.
