destroyed a few already but ones i fear are later in season when i spend a month or so strimming estate, those lil buggers get really angry. get inside boilersuit if they can to really upset you....

found 15 nests last year, at least ten with a strimmer so plenty of stings and they are experts at finding any exposed skin, even with saw boots on, trousers tucked in, boilersuit over it, gloves etc they still get me bad.

Hate them.

Pointless creatures, but haven't seen that many yet - like everyone's said though there'll probably come en mass in Autumn! Something to look forward to...

We found a nest today - they still seemed a bit dozy but came to life when our trainee 'showed' us that they were not wasps but harmless flies.

At least one of them demonstrated its sting to him.

Then when he was leaf blowing the garden I had to stop him blowing over the entrance!

Are you sure they are wasp stings? I've never seen them blister like that! :scared1:

Yes, Looks similar to some of the Giant Hogweed photos I've seen on the Internet. cheers, steve

Yes only one wasp, He was wearing trousers and it got under his trouser leg.

The dead wasp fell out on the carpet, He went and got checked at A&E today as it got worse as the day went on.

That was my thought too but definitely a wasp, He got badly stung a few months back and has reacted to this one.
