Rope for a hitch climber!

Hey all, I was wondering which rope people are using with a hitch climber / VT set up, and how you get on with it?

I'm currently using Marlow, I find it tends to get a bit grumpy with my current set up, and since it's getting a bit old I might up grade to something else.

Hi max I've used the 11.5 teufelberger with the hitch climber and it worked really well and also the 12.5 . The 12.5 is a little easier on the hands but the smaller diameter is just a little lighter

Is that the tachyon? 11.5 does sound appealing, I have used 11mm but that almost made my hands turn into claws

Marlow is cack. I've used 13mm before and it's rubbish compared to 11mm.

 

Currently using 11mm Blaze or 11mm Velocity. 8mm ArmorPrus tied loose.

To be honest I don't really find it any harder on the hands.

Do you have any problems with excess cover, having both ends spliced?

 

I milked over 1 metre of excess cover from my Blaze when I got it. If I'd had it spliced both ends it would have had nowhere to go!
