Hi,

I felled this tree about a year ago. The stump was about 2 feet across. I ground it out to 1 foot below ground level. It started regenerating. I went over it again. It started regenerating from the roots. I ground the roots out as per the image. It's started coming back again.

What would people suggest to finish it off!

Don't worry too much, put some decent soil on top, seed it with grass, keep mowing It'll die off soon enough.

I had a HC sprouting 10 Mtrs from the tree after grinding. No way I was going to chase every root.

Edit. Just seen Sloth's response, same as I guess.

A heap of fresh woodchip on there for a couple of months will cook it then the fungi take over.

Customers alway like instant impact though!

The way I see it nowt will grow there until its terminated. Might as well have the cheap solution for the interim.
