Now iv got all my PPE ready for college in sept, i want to start getting some access gear ropes, throw lines you know the stuff.

 

Starting with the rope what length do you guys find comes in handy more often than others? As with throw lines?

 

Theres lots of stuff out there to choose from its just all rather baffling to me,

 

Bearing in mind im not going to be out there working for a while im just after some gear to tie me over give me a bit of practice,,

i only buy 45m ropes...but you ougha be able to get by with 37m for the time being

the college will have all the gear you need to start with and you will soon learn whats good and what isn't.

45m rope. But wait until you have tried different harnesses first. Everyones preference is different and a harness one person finds great another will hate. Don`t be to keen to spend your money.
