kev is a nice guy but you'll be paying through the nose for what he sells.

 

pity really as i would use him alot if he were cheaper.

 

Must admit I thought his recent prices were very expensive. Do you know anywhere Berkshire surrey way that sells similar timber?

The thing is (and I don't know him) the reason he is expensive is because he has such a large range of timber... or to stock a large range of timber he needs to be expensive.

 

 

I have some black walnut got form a member on here I think there are still a few bits on ebay shop:

i did not think we grew any juglans nigra in this country at all...

 

where do they grow some?

 

Theres a few in private Devon gardens & 15 years ago a tree surgeon let me have a couple of short C. 10 inch wide branches off a 24 DBH one he removed. Ive also see waney edged local B.W. boards for sale.

 

I realise that's not really evidence just experience, but found this on the net.
