Tree officers recommendations?!

Also one other thing is how can people advertise as local authority approved when the councils are impartial and do not reccomend specific companies?

I'm on at lest one council list of "Approved contractors" although its a petty extensive list, so I'm not sure how helpful it is.

The amount of times I've tried to contact the council - email etc to discuss getting on a contractors list or even on the list of tenders! But just get ignored! It seems corrupt!!

Procurement rules mean a tendering process is usually involved, which may not occur until a specific tender 'contract' has ended. Usually they last for five years, at least to my experience, and take a long time to sort. I don't think it's as easy as simply getting added to the books any more.
