Quadchip hydro leak...

Hello,

Our machine has a wee dribble underneath coming from underneath

(a bit like our semi-retired groundy)

around the area of the roller motor but I just can't work out from where exactly.

So I'm considering pressure washing the machine to make a clean base then run the machine up hot and then...

Throw bread flour up into the area to see if it sticks to the leak or not.

If it was a fuel leak I'd simply light a match but this one is more subtle.

Any pointers as to what I should be fettling with before I go jam a finger in the dyke?

Our machine is 759 hours today and celebrated by dropping its radiator grill...again.

Got to love the devil you know eh?

Early machines suffered from faulty motors which leaked from the motor shaft seal. GM sorted ours out FOC.

  • 3 weeks later...

New motor winging its way across Le Manche direct from 'Press 1 for Peter Parts' at GMHQ.

Will try to get the old one repaired locally so it can clog up my spares cupboard and sit nicely along with those wrong size grinder pockets Global sent out twice in a row...
