I've been looking at them Spandit, the vids on Youtube look mighty impressive but the price is shocking, about seven grand? I'm working on a plan at the moment. First move will be fell my Leylandi. Then the space between the two rows of the will give me the old ride back. That will give me a way into the wood with a vehicle so maybe then I can think about getting the rabbit mower in to make the rest of the paths.

I think hiring is your best option. From what I remember you only have a few acres of woodland (more than 2!) so not really worth buying expensive kit. You might find someone with a quad towed flail who could help

Yes, I only have five acres, so no commercial income from it. I may try to sell a few loads of firewood to cover some of my costs. Whatever I do I don't have a large budget, so I agree that hiring is the best move :thumbup1:

Here is a path through the wood we manage . It's getting up to 8 passes with a compact tractor and indespension plant trailer a week and almost daily walked by one person. Never been mown .[ATTACH]185332[/ATTACH][ATTACH]185333[/ATTACH]
