Go easy on 'em.

They wouldn't be working there if they didn't have to.

They shut down the fishing and the ship-yards and closed the steelworks and the coal-mines and all the the associated jobs that went with all of those and opened up a call centre in stead.

While you're out in the fresh air each and every day they're stuck in hell.

S'not they're fault; Thatcher's legacy.

Be kind; that's all.

Happy days

I'm polite to some calls, but kick straight off with ones that start the conversation with a lie, 'I'm ringing about your recent car accident etc.'

Stevo who I work with just hangs up, doesn't speak.

He's hoping to get on a database which tells them not to bother.

The last one I spoke to was for double glazing, sure I said send your rep out to quote if you like, there is 70 windows and 6 doors, but if the quote comes in for more than a tenner a window the job won't get the go ahead. Bye.

Now the land line phones are disconnected:thumbup1:

Caller ID for your land line or Mobil. Once the call has been received block the call from either device and the problem is more or less solved. As time go's on you will notice that your phone becomes very quiet and suddenly all of the robo calls and humans making same calls dry up pretty quickly. It is a really nice feeling to know that your helping yourself by way of technology. When it comes to receiving calls unsolicited, yes it is all about me and anyone that really needs to contact me can and will. Anyone else human or machine, not so much!.
