261 not ticking over

We had lots of problems with this.

There is manufacturing problem with the sprockets.

In fairness to Stihl they replaced outs under warranty even when they have been over a year old. If it's worn the crank they have replaced those too.

 

 

This is a bit of a worry and here I am considering lashing out the hard earned on either a 261cm or 362cm. The words clutch, crank and rebuild sound expensive normally . If the dealer doesn't stand over it are we talking big money?

Are these issues specific to the 261 or are these general stihl issues
