I did today, branch I had my foot on snapped as I started the cut, auto reaction to shove my hand out to stop myself and jabbed the running chain onto my thumb which jammed into the chain catcher.

 

Luckily I had thick rigger gloves on which jammed it because it was coming to a stop and didn't cut through so thumb saved, it would have made a right mess with no glove on

Yep, learn from your mistakes I guess...should have taken the extra 30 seconds required to move to a slightly better position and not had my left hand under the branch i was cutting..

 

The silky's take no prisoners thats for sure, what alot of pain and blood for such a small cut, yowsers!
