Dug out the brush cutter for the first time today. Been stored with some Aspen I think. After a fair bit pulling it runs and is usable but the engine continually hunted. Still plenty of power but cleary something is not right. Where should I start?

Try changing the fuel pipe, fuel filter and fit a new carb kit. It is usually the fuel system that fails in storage as fuel pipes soften and carb diaphragms harden.
