I practice for 2hrs every evening and play in a workshop band every Thursday

It's really hard work to stay motivated after doing trees . I'm getting there after 2 years of practice . Two of my cousins play drums and my grandad who sadly passed away yesterday was an amazing jazz drummer and played all over London .

Sorry to hear about your grandfather, Andy. Sounds like he lived life to the full.

Thankyou he had dementia in the last few years of his life my wife used to look after him and she would take him over to his drum set and he would say I don't play drums as soon as he sat down he would fire into a magnificent solo it was amazing :). What style of music do you play .

My late father was a session player ( rent a drummer ) Jazz and big band . Back in the day they could read music and frowned upon skinbashers in pop groups :001_smile: There were always premiers set up in the spare room. Two of my brothers and one sister have musical talent but unfortunately for me no musical genes were passed down  I blame him for my strange taste in music like Clyde Stubblefieds Funky drummer and Maceo Parker

Started in punk bands but graduated to blues (played a lot with Victor Brox) who was the lead singer/keyboard/ pocket cornet for the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation. Sorry for the name drop.

These days I play a few times a week in a gospel band. :)

Nice beats and grooves. :)

Looks like Clyde managed to escape fame and fortune by the the skin of his teeth. :)

Like your taste in music.... I think funk and black gospel drummers are the the best.
