As far as recall - the ones that CBL were selling were all 14hp and demo machines from old stock. Theocus's unit has barely been used and available now so get on and buy it for the missus xmas box!:sneaky2:

Thank you Pete you beat me to it!! The cheap ones that were for sale were indeed the 14 hp ones, the 18hp with the electric start is a different beast completely. This has barely been used and really worth the money.

Would you hire it out? Directly to a customer and let them get on with it?

Bad idea Rupe, these little chippers are excellent in the hands of a seasoned chipper man or woman BUT not the newbie. You can chip 5 ton in an hour or jam it in 3 seconds with a 10 foot bit of conny. :laugh1:

When i got mine we had it in bits every day for a month until we sussed out how to unblock it with out taking it apart and i had whacked Young scott lots of times with a stupid stick to get him to stop jamming it:lol: Only kidding Scot if you ever read this:thumbup1:

Hmmm, ok. I looked at a job the other day, where the clients said they would clear up and maybe hire a chipper if they could find one. (no access for mine of course).

So, dave, would you hire it out to a tree guy then?
