I spent a fortune on a new 10ltr jerry can esp for the little beastie, and havent used a full can in a week, in fact about half a tank so its more economical than I feared.:thumbup1:

if it is sharp then it will try and pul it in quickly, your arm is the no stress device, but if you have been using chippers for years then its really user friendly, only vibration is off dead sticks, but i just leave them in and it does it itself, or you just get a bushy bit in put that around it, if your are methodical then it is easy, if you have a rhody, some bushes and a nice straight multi stemmed cony then you just use the cony to push the bushy stuff through, i did a huge amount of cleamatis last week, i laid it all out, attacked it with the hedge cutter then pushed it all through with a bigger piece of conny stem, it never choked once and i was chipping it for over an hour. personbally i wouldnt drop a lad off with one who has never used a chipper before because they will just jam it up and stall it, but a bit of common sense and a diferent working method and they are VERY productive

Larger branches arent really an issue as its a drum chipper, just lift the branch back if it starts to pull the motor down too much. As with anything held, you will get vibes up your hands/arms if you try to hold for too long, but tbh this hasnt really been a problem so far.:001_smile: Plus what Stevie said
