not me sorry, just had a couple of weeks carving in usa then a week carvign in wales, i need a carving-break for a few weeks. well... ok, days.

Sorry bit far to go and there dont seem to be any way to sell anything to cover expences they keep whatever you make till the end of the year on display but expensive week away, but good luck with it

The fifth edition will be held from july 22nd to 25th @ Foussais Payre 85240 Vendee .

 

12 sculptors will create unique works in public, a team of young reporters will covers the events daily.

 

Theres an opening ceremony on the first day (09.00 I think) which usually involves lengthy speeches in French with a glass or two of wine.

 

Its open 10.00 am to 18.00 & you can chat to the sculptors when they take a break

 

Its all fairly informal, theres a coffee bar with beer & wine & an indoor art exhibition as well

Cheers N, what's the deal with carving at this? Do carvers get paid, expenses etc? Do organisers keep the work?

Hi, I suspect some sponsorship from the arts council although a lot of their work is for sale afterwards, I can find out if you wish.
